On a Prestashop, I discovered that the statistics did not work 100% upon installation.
Indeed, the site visit counter was increasing, but the article view counter was not moving.
After some research, I discovered that data collection had to be "activated" (among other things because of GDPR)
Before you begin, make sure your store's terms of use and privacy policies are consistent with the data collected.
To activate the collection of statistical data, you must go to the configuration of the Data mining for statistics module accessible via the module manager
Finally, all that remains is to activate the desired data collection(s)
Enabling these modules consumes CPU resources, and therefore adds processing time on the server side.
If you find that the store is loading too slowly, you can disable these statistics while you increase the allocated resources.

Finally, click the Save button to save and apply the configuration immediately.
