If you are using VirtualBox on a Debian 13 system with an AMD processor, it is quite possible that the KVM components are installed, and this is causing problems with launching a virtual machine under VirtualBox. Typically, the error is:
AMD-V is being used by another hypervisor (VERR_SVM_IN_USE).
VirtualBox can't enable the AMD-V extension. Please disable the KVM kernel extension, recompile your kernel and reboot (VERR_SVM_IN_USE).
To solve the problem, it is necessary to remove the KVM components so that VirtualBox can launch the VMs:
sudo rmmod kvm_amd
sudo rmmod kvm
Once done, VirtualBox will be able to launch the virtual machines.
